Quy Duy Nguyen-Phuoc

Dr. Nguyen-Phuoc is a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Bridge and Road Engineering at the University of Danang – University of Science and Technology, where he also leads the Sustainable Travel and Economic Behaviour Research Group (STEB-RG). After earning his Ph.D. from Monash University, Australia in 2018, he advanced his research career as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Singapore – MIT Alliance Research and Technology (SMART). His research spans traffic safety, travel behaviour, transport modelling, transport economics, and sustainable transport, resulting in over 60 publications in leading international peer-reviewed journals (Q1) and an h-index of 29. Several of his papers are among the top most cited articles in top-tier A*/A journals, highlighting the significant impact of his work on both theoretical advancements and practical implications in industry and policy-making. In 2019, he was awarded the prestigious SIDRA SOLUTIONS Award, recognizing him as the most outstanding postgraduate student from a tertiary institution in Australia or New Zealand. An independent Asian review of motorcycle studies in 2024 also acknowledged him as one of the two most influential authors with a substantial local impact in the field. Furthermore, Dr. Nguyen-Phuoc has been honored multiple times with the Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Researcher by the President of the Danang City Council and the University of Danang, attesting to his exceptional contributions to research.
